About the role
To change lives, Peer Support Specialists engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. They provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture, responding to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Peer Certification must be maintained throughout employment within 90 days after date of hire
- California: obtain Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to date of hire and maintained throughout employment
- Experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care
- Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must maintain Peer Certification throughout employment
- Must have California Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA prior to date of hire
- Must have experience as a beneficiary of the Behavioral Health system of care
- Must have a valid and current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
- Must be willing to use your personal vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed.
Schedule
Shifts available: Full-Time | DAYS | Shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Days: Monday - Friday
Additional Information
Expected starting wage is $21.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges.
