About the role
This program operates a women's recovery residence and supports pregnant and parenting women as they navigate recovery, ensuring appropriate pre-natal and post-partum care, as well as access to behavioral health services.Responsibilities
- Provide non-clinical peer-to-peer activities to empower individuals to improve health, recovery, resiliency, and wellness.
- Demonstrate lived experience with substance use challenges and a minimum of one year of personal recovery on the application.
- Virginia Certification as Peer Recovery Support Specialist preferred.
- Doula training is preferred, or willing to complete doula training.
- Caregiver experience preferred.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Qualifications
- Must be willing to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening as part of the application process.
