About the role

The Peer Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health challenges. They provide guidance, resources, and emotional support based on their own experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to clients
  • Facilitate group sessions and activities
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Document client progress and maintain confidentiality

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in mental health support
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Skills

  • Excellent listening and empathy skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
