Peer Ski Instructor

Brighton Peer Instructors get paid to ski while assisting kids in ski and snowboard lessons. You’ll work closely with an adult lead instructor to create unforgettable experiences for younger students ages 4‑12. This seasonal, part‑time role is open to teens ages 14‑17.

Responsibilities

• Assist with children’s ski and snowboard lessons.
• Ride with children ages 4‑6 on chairlifts.
• Help with other needs of the ski school.
• Ensure kids have a fun and safe experience on the snow.
• Arrive at Brighton by 8:45 AM on scheduled workdays (earlier arrivals may be required for traffic or powder mornings).
• Wear Brighton uniform (black pants), nametag, and helmet; no earbuds or phone use while working or on chairlifts with students.

Qualifications

• Available for mandatory paid training on Nov 21 or 22.
• Intermediate‑level skiing or snowboarding ability.
• Ability to follow directions and safety protocols.
• Love working with children and a happy, friendly presence.
• Comfortable interacting with kids ages 4‑6.
• Reliable transportation to and from Brighton, even on snowy days.

Schedule

Typical schedule: weekend day(s) and some holidays, generally 8:45 AM – 4:00 PM (times vary). Peer instructors work one weekend day per week, scheduled every Saturday or Sunday from Dec 1 to Mar 31. Shifts range from 2.25 to 6 hours. Work is not guaranteed every day; there may be days with no business.
