About the role
As an independent contractor, this role requires strong expertise in data privacy and security practices. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant data protection regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement privacy policies and procedures that comply with data protection laws
- Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with data protection standards
- Provide guidance on data handling practices to clients and partners
- Respond to data subject requests and inquiries related to data processing
- Stay updated with the latest developments in data privacy and security
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data privacy and security roles
- Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other major data protection regulations
- Experience working with cloud-based systems and data management tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
