Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS)

About the role

I Am Boundless is hiring a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to support youth and families with behavioral health challenges, substance use, or system navigation. The PRSS utilizes their own lived experience to provide strengths-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented support.

Responsibilities

• Utilize lived experience to support engagement, self-advocacy, and successful participation in services for youth and families.
• Work collaboratively with Care Coordinators and other providers to support individualized care planning and service delivery.
• Be an integral member of the Child and Family Team (CFT).

Requirements

• Certified Peer Recovery Supporter (Adult or Family Peer) through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated lived experience with behavioral health, substance use, or caregiving within child-serving systems.
• Ability to use lived experience in a professional, recovery-oriented manner.
• Strong communication and engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth and families with complex behavioral health needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of OhioRISE, wraparound, and high-fidelity care coordination principles is preferred.
• Experience participating in Child and Family Team (CFT) processes is preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
