About the role
Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is a not-for-profit behavioral healthcare organization that provides comprehensive programming to treat and prevent substance use disorder and related issues since 1969. The organization aims to support the behavioral health of individuals, families, and communities through innovation, accountability, and compassionate care.
General Duties
Deliver peer recovery person to person, either via telehealth or in-person, aimed at increasing recovery capital by empowering individuals through strength-based coaching, supporting linkages to community resources and the development of natural supports, supporting engagement in treatment services, and educating customers and their families about the conditions and process of recovery.
Requirements
A minimum one year of recovery from substance use, mental health, or co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges is required. Certification as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) from the ICB is required within one year of placement in the position. A valid driver's license and insurance are also required.
