About the role
The Santé Group is seeking Part-Time Peer Recovery Specialists to join their new Baltimore County Recovery Center in Dundalk, MD. This position offers mobile crisis services, peer assessments, crisis intervention, and stabilization.
Responsibilities
- Self-identify as a Peer and provide peer support to consumers and families.
- Aid in performing on-scene assessments, including danger, suicide, and environmental assessments.
- Perform crisis intervention and stabilization, including de-escalation, crisis planning, and implementation.
- Create appropriate referral recommendations and develop treatment plans using available agency and community resources.
- Partner with local law enforcement and other community providers.
- Complete documentation in a thorough and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as appropriate federal, state, and county regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two (2) years of related experience.
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment (Sante will pay for your certification if you do not have it at the time of hire).
- At least two (2) years in full recovery AND three (3) years of lived experience with mental illness, substance abuse, or a co-occurring disorder.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of current automobile insurance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or willingness to be certified within a one (1) year of employment.
