Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members served to assist them in exploring, creating, and meeting their own recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS), recognizing each member’s point of view and preferences.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de‑escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing an emergency related to mental health/addiction challenges.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi‑Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained; failure to obtain results in separation.
• One (1) year or part‑time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Pay

Expected starting wage is $23.00. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges; the pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Schedule

Shifts Available: Full‑Time | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Days: Monday – Friday.
