Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate with MBS program staff and course directors to review content and provide supplemental instruction in an interactive classroom setting for MBS students.
• Facilitate large group learning sessions with MBS students.
• Offer guidance on learning, test-taking, and study strategies related to coursework.
• Provide individual or small group tutoring sessions for MBS students as needed.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; database and data entry skills. A deep understanding of the content or field of study related to the graduate program, such as academic theories and key concepts. Understanding how to adapt and modify learning materials and assignments to meet the specific needs of graduate students.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in Zoom and with working with remote students. Excellent organization and planning skills, including calendar and event management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Information gathering and monitoring skills; including the ability to prepare reports, while maintaining confidentiality.
• Abilities: Ability to be reliable and dependable. Ability to relate to individuals from diverse educational, cultural, and social backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels Ability to assist with the creation of PowerPoint presentations.

Required Experience

• Current MBS Program students (or MBS alumni),
• AA, PA, DO, MD, Optometry, or Dental Program students who have successfully completed Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology courses with a grade of A- or higher.
