About the role

Main position objectives: Bead blasting is a mechanical process that uses blasting media to clean or roughen the surface of metal and provide a uniform finish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and run blasting equipment for optimal performance.
• Load and unload materials from blasting cabinet/booth.
• Hold a high‑pressure hose for several hours.
• Fill hopper with glass bead blasting material.
• Identify and resolve issues with blasting equipment.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain high attention to detail and focus on tasks.
• Distinguish material types including aluminium, steel, and stainless steel.
• Use computer skills for entering production data.
• Train others on equipment use.
• Lift heavy items manually or using a hoist (5–50 lbs).
• Work as a dedicated team player and be reliable.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE (respirators, gloves, steel‑toe boots, eye and ear protection, helmets with adequate air supply).
• Work effectively in noisy, dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Perform physical movements: bend at waist, sit, kneel, lie horizontally, climb, stand for prolonged periods, walk.
• Adhere to all company rules and policies.
