About the role

The Ketaspire Production Coordinator role provides operations leadership to the Ketaspire unit. The position is responsible for the safety of all employees and equipment in the Ketaspire operation. The position ensures the unit is operated in an environmentally sound and cost-effective manner while supplying polymer meeting all quality requirements per plan to internal and external customers. The position reports directly to the Ketaspire Unit Manager. Shift supervisors report directly to the Ketaspire Production Coordinator, and this position is responsible for indirectly managing hourly staff.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and clearly communicate the operating budget and production plan to the Ketaspire team.
  • Understand and clearly communicate quality requirements and expectations to the Ketaspire team, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cookordination with the maintenance and reliability teams to ensure efficient operation of the unit.
  • Effectively utilize all the resources available including operators, supervisors, engineers, R&I, Plant Support Teams and external experts when required.
  • Ensure the Ketaspire Team has tools and training required to achieve their goals and function effectively in his/her absence.
  • Achieve outstanding HSE performance through Syensqo's Safety Principles, Life Saving Rules, and Leading with Safety programs.
  • Support the Asset team in efforts to maintain and grow market share while reducing working capital.
  • Identify, develop, and implement actions necessary to reduce fixed and variable costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required. Chemical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • 10 years experience with at least 5 years in operations, maintenance, or engineering functions in a manufacturing facility.
  • Champions and models appropriate safe work behaviors; Reacts appropriately to safe/unsafe behaviors and ensures safety performance within area of responsibility.
  • Has a proven track record of demonstrating participative leadership, technical ability, and communications skills, while requiring little direction.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a very dynamic environment. Works effectively with people who have diverse ideas, perspectives, and values.
  • Comfortably handles risk and uncertainty; Builds and ensures strong links and relationships with other work groups.

  • Leads change necessary for improvement in business performance.
  • Sets up and maintains the safety program in the facility.
  • Performs required safety audits per the Augusta Plant yearly audit plan.
  • Attends plant-wide safety/wellness sessions.
  • Reviews/Performs required safety audits, JSA’s and What-if scenarios.
  • Completes all required CBTs on time.
  • Participates in PSM, PHA, and PSSR field reviews, as well as Follow-Up Incident investigations as needed.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of all plant environmental standards, ES-01 through ES-10.
  • Knows the environmental permit limits for your assigned plant (air, waste water, storm water).
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Rules (RCRA) to include storage, handling, sampling, transporting, manifesting, record keeping, and emergency response.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the facility environmental plans (SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention).

Benefits

Competitive salary and benefits package
The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $108,000 to $135,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
