Responsibilities
- Teach and evaluate students in the classroom, designing an effective learning environment that addresses contemporary issues in nursing.
- Facilitate the application of theoretical knowledge to clinical practice, overseeing clinical adjuncts and grading associated clinical papers.
- Communicate effectively with clinical agency representatives, staff, faculty, and students, identifying and addressing clinical issues promptly.
- Develop and evaluate student admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies, ensuring compliance with institutional standards.
- Participate in faculty meetings and other nursing events, contributing to the campus culture and providing input on policy development.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
- Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university.
- Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty preferred.
- Maintain professional competence and expertise through ongoing education and participation in professional activities.

- Current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.
