Role Overview
This position involves serving as a Nursing Faculty member dedicated to mentoring, instructing, and supporting nursing students in both classroom and clinical settings. You will utilize diverse teaching methodologies, contribute to curriculum assessment and improvement, and engage in scholarly activities to foster student success as future healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Mentor, role model, and facilitate student learning and academic growth.
- Deliver engaging instruction aligned with prescribed learning outcomes, utilizing various teaching techniques.
- Participate in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and shared governance activities.
- Maintain scholarship and pursue professional development.
- Leverage innovative technologies like Simulation and Innovation Labs to enhance learning experiences.
- If involved in clinical education, oversee student activities in clinical facilities, clarify expectations, assess performance, and provide timely feedback to ensure safety and skill development.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing and a valid professional nurse licensure.
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in the teaching field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online learning management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance, including state, federal, and local laws, as well as accreditation requirements.
