Role and Facility Information

Pearl Hospital is seeking a full-time consulting Pediatrician, with or without a sub-specialty interest, to join a congenial group of pediatricians providing home-based on-call pediatric consultant services to the Maternity Unit, which handles over 1000 low-risk deliveries annually. The pediatricians attend all c-section deliveries, any deliveries anticipated to require neonatal resuscitation, and consult on post-natal concerns as needed. The call rota is approximately 1/5.

Responsibilities

• Attend all c-section deliveries
• Consult on deliveries anticipated to require neonatal resuscitation
• Provide post-natal consultations as needed
• Establish a consulting practice in the area
• Opportunity to participate in sub-specialty clinics within Fraser Health

Requirements

The successful applicant must have:

• CPSBC US certified class of registration
• Experience in providing home-based on-call pediatric consultant services
• Ability to establish a consulting practice in the area
• Willingness to participate in sub-specialty clinics within Fraser Health

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• A Doctor of Medicine degree
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
