About the role
The Pediatric Surgeon provides advanced surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of complex and routine pediatric conditions. This role supports Cooper University Health Care’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic medicine within the Children’s Regional Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provides advanced surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of complex and routine pediatric conditions.
- Supports Cooper University Health Care’s mission of delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and academic medicine within the Children’s Regional Hospital.
- Significantly influences the direction of the program, joining like-minded faculty committed to being at the cutting edge of Pediatric Surgery!
- Creates scholarly work, improves quality metrics, and creates a positive learning environment.
- Develops areas of productive scholarship and recruits additional faculty.
- Works with underserved populations and demonstrates innovative spirit in the clinical setting.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Active New Jersey medical license
- Completion of an accredited pediatric surgery training program
- Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, desire to work with underserved populations
Qualifications
- Education Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of an accredited pediatric surgery training program
- Experience Required:
- Fully support the academic, clinical, and educational missions of our program including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and creating a positive learning environment
- Display the communication, and interpersonal skills required to build an active clinical practice, develop areas of productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty
