Role Purpose

Under the supervision of a registered technologist, performs imaging procedures to adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.

Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program.

Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines as it pertains to administering radiation/making exposures.

Responsibilities

• Aids the technologist with imaging procedures.
• Students require direct supervision in surgery.
• Escorts or transports patients to and from examination area.
• Aids the technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables.
• Aids patient as needed.
• Aids outpatients with completing information necessary to the procedure.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: No Experience
• Supervisor Experience: No Experience
