Pediatric Registered Nurse Neuro Trauma

Unit Information

NTU is focused on the healing and reintegration process for children after a devastating injury, illness, or surgical procedure. It has 32 patient beds, operates at high acuity and fast pace, and has an average patient/caregiver ratio of 2 or 3:1 for RNs. The unit specializes in Trauma, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Orthopedics, with a rehabilitation component.

Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: Full time, 36 hours a week, 60% undesirable shifts (nights/weekends), self-scheduling. Typically 15 undesirables in a 8-week period, with shift differentials ranging from 10-25%.
Minimum Qualifications: Current RN license in state of practice, BLS certification, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, current BSN or willing to obtain within 4 years.
Preferred Qualifications: One or more years of RN work experience, ongoing need to see and read information, communicate effectively, manipulate complex equipment, lift and move patients, stand for extended periods, and navigate crowded rooms.

Pay and Schedule

The hourly range for this position is $35.22 - $53.29, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
