About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) position at MedNorth Health Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, family-centered care in a dynamic clinical environment. The ideal candidate is compassionate, skilled, and experienced in pediatric care.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessment either on the phone or face to face to determine emergency treatment, appropriate appointment scheduling, etc.
- Initiate emergency treatment if necessary.
- Manage clinical care and clinical support services for patients presenting to the clinic either in person or via telephone.
- Communicate with the proper clinical team regarding patient care needs.
- Evaluate patients using criteria such as type of injury or illness, severity, symptoms, and vital signs.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer and Quality Director in developing quality improvement programs and monitoring project outcomes.
- Represent the organization as a liaison to state-related health care organizations.
- Implement and document state/federal funding programs like Title X, Women’s Cancer Screening, etc.
- Participate in departmental strategic operational planning including staffing and fiscal management.
- Support training and development of MA’s or RN’s.
- Respond to codes and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and restock as needed.
- Complete annual required training hours as mandated by MNHC policy.
- Report all staff safety issues to the Director of Nursing as soon as possible.
Qualifications
- Licensed as an RN in the State of North Carolina.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Three years of experience working in a healthcare facility.
- Five years’ experience in healthcare facility, especially in FQHC/CHC or similar organizations.
- Bilingual preferred.
