Pediatric Pulmonology Opportunity, Columbia, SC

About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, seeks a BC/BE pediatric pulmonologist to join a dynamic group of 2 BC physicians and 2 physician assistants.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients to the Children’s hospitalist service and consulting in their care delivery
• Participating in multiple clinical trials as a Therapeutics Development Network (TDN) center
• Leading accredited pediatric CF and PC programs
• Utilizing a full PFT lab and bronchoscopy service
• Teaching medical students and pediatric residents at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine
• Working under a 1:3 call ratio, either as a primary or backup to mid-levels who are primary

Requirements

• Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pulmonology
• Experience in pediatric pulmonology preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Pediatrics
• Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX examinations
