Pediatric Psychologist Specializing in Chronic Pain and Functional Disorders

Responsibilities

The pediatric psychologist will work closely with nursing, OT/PT, psychiatry, community- and hospital-based pediatricians, and several of our subspecialty physicians. The responsibilities include:

  • Identification and treatment of and implementation of psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic modalities, individually, in groups, and as part of an integrated team to address health-associated functional disability.
  • Implementing various cognitive-behavioral therapies for chronic pain patients.

Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a PhD or PsyD from an accredited psychology training program and have completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. Requisite experience includes fellowship in health psychology or equivalent experience with medical patients in a hospital setting. Additional experience with pediatric feeding disorders and familiarity with Chronic Pain and Functional disorders is preferred.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure Track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
