Pediatric Physician (MD/DO)

Location: Newport News, VA | Outpatient pediatric practice

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Pediatric Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing outpatient pediatric practice providing comprehensive care for patients from birth through 22 years of age.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 8:45 AM – 5:30 PM
• Rotating Saturday clinic (every 4th or 5th weekend): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Approximately 6 on-call shifts per month
• No additional shift differential

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits and sick visits
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications
• Monitor growth and developmental milestones
• Counsel families on preventive care, nutrition, and immunizations
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and clinical staff
• Participate in the shared call schedule

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Active Virginia Medical License
• Active DEA Registration
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• BLS and PALS certification
• New graduates welcome

Pay

Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Additional Information

• Patient Volume: 18–25 patients per day
• Patient Population: Newborns through young adults (up to age 22)
