About the role

Leaps & Bounds Pediatric Therapy is a growing and fast-paced outpatient private practice offering Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services. The position involves supporting the team, working collaboratively, and fostering an inclusive and positive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments and interpret evaluations and test results to determine physical therapy treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on physician prescriptions or consultations.
  • Administer physical therapy treatments, including manual exercises and the use of therapeutic devices.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Conduct discharge planning, including designing home exercise programs and providing patient education.
  • Document patient care services accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to patient care plans.
  • Collaborate with other therapists to ensure comprehensive care plans for patients.

Requirements

  • Licensed Certified Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current California Physical Therapy license
  • Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using medical software and equipment
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and adapt treatment plans accordingly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
