About the Role
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or eligible for such certification
- Completion of an accredited hand surgery fellowship
Preference will be given to candidates with additional fellowship training in pediatric hand surgery.
Responsibilities
- Teaching responsibilities may include clinical and didactic instruction of medical students, orthopaedic surgery residents, pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellows, and hand surgery fellows
- Clinical responsibilities may include building a practice in pediatric hand surgery, with additional duties in orthopedic surgery depending on candidate training
- Research or scholarship responsibilities may include clinical and/or basic science investigations in the field of orthopaedic surgery and, specifically, hand surgery
