About the role
Provides pediatric oral surgical care to treat conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face within the Seattle Children's Dental Clinic and operating rooms. May diagnose problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions. May perform surgery to improve function or appearance. Provides clinical training and education to oral and maxillofacial surgery residents as an affiliate faculty member of the University of Washington, School of Dentistry.
Responsibilities
- Treat pediatric patients with conditions, defects, injuries, and esthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, and face
- Diagnose problems of the oral and maxillofacial regions
- Perform surgery to improve function or appearance
- Provide clinical training and education to oral and maxillofacial surgery residents
Requirements
- DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine)
- Advanced training in a oral and maxillofacial surgery program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on - Advanced Dental Education in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery
- Board Eligibility or Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery
- Previous experience in hospital Oral and Maxillofacial surgery
- Experience with medically compromised and developmentally delayed pediatric patients
Qualifications
- Additional education and/or experience in education, research or business
- Licensed Dentist in the State of Washington
