Pediatric Occupational Therapist
STEPS for Kids is seeking an Occupational Therapist passionate about pediatric care, family-centered and play-based approaches, and committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. We have openings to join our multidisciplinary team and expand our reach to meet the growing needs of our community. PRN, part-time, and full-time positions are available, with 6–40 hours per week, flexible hours, and a hybrid work model that allows a work-from-home option (no telehealth).

Founded in 2010, STEPS for Kids is a therapist-owned and operated pediatric clinic providing developmental services using a strengths-based and family-centered approach. Our programs use a coordinated treatment approach that is neurodiversity affirming and trauma-informed, rooted in play-based interventions, parent and community education, and relationships that support lifelong growth for children.

Requirements
- Ability to work with a diverse range of ages, birth through adolescence, with a wide variety of neurodevelopmental conditions
- Experience with DIR/Floortime and ASI preferred but not required; mentoring available
- Peds experience preferred but not required; will consider a strong new graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to all audiences
- Compassion and dedication to pediatric care; focus on family-centered care that is neurodiversity affirming
- Flexible and motivated for problem solving
- Able to work equally well independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to professional and personal development
- Competency in evaluations, care planning, documentation, and treatment planning for the pediatric population
- State of Illinois Occupational Therapist license in good standing
