About the role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Harmony Pediatric Therapy. This position is part-time and available at two locations: Basking Ridge and Chatham, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a flexible start date and scheduling options.

Responsibilities

  • Daily treatment sessions targeting all goal areas
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs, considering age, developmental stage and health conditions
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques
  • Complete all necessary evaluations
  • Regularly assess progress, monitor treatment outcomes and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Create and monitor home programming
  • Incorporate play-based approaches to engage and teach children
  • Completion of daily documentation
  • Provide expert education and coaching to parents and caregivers
  • Conduct clinical collaborations
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of occupational therapy
  • Implement novel programming with therapeutic team
  • Provide coverage sessions

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current and valid NJ state licensure or pending state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
  • Prior Pediatric OT experience preferred
  • Proficiency in administering standardized assessments
  • Experience with various pediatric conditions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

  • Proficiency in administration of standardized assessments (PDMS, WOLD, Beery, PRN, QNST, BOT, TVPS, BRIEF, SP, Clinical Observations, HELP)
  • Ability to interpret scores and write up for IE/RA
  • Seek out learning opportunities for all administration/interpretation of said assessments
  • Conduct clinical collaborations as clinically necessary

  • Build to a full-time caseload by providing coverage for any therapist’s scheduled PTO (given 2-week or more notice)
  • Present any novel clinical information/strategies/theories learned in CEU courses
  • Monthly clinical support for forward thinking/progression of cases to next level
  • Implement up to 3 annual programs and/or groups: novel, past or on-going (e.g. social skills, handwriting, summer program)
  • “Secondary” role in evaluations, family meetings, report generation

Pay

Pay range: $40-$48 hourly depending on years of experience

Schedule

Flexible schedule including afternoon and evening availability
