Pediatric NP/PA - Urgent Care (New Grad/Early Career)
About The Role
You'll be able to make a difference every day, every patient and with the support of experienced providers and hands-on training to help you grow confidently in pediatric urgent care.
Equipment and trained support staff to accommodate patients with acute needs from birth through age 25
Possibility to perform procedures such as laceration repairs/multilayer closures, I&D of abscesses, reduction of finger/toe fractures, foreign body removal, ingrown toenails, etc.
Anaphylaxis treatment and respiratory distress
Cardiac issues, chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, bloody stools
Genitourinary, Neurologic, Ortho, and Derm
Support for our providers and their patients with direct admits, navigation of specialist referrals for same/next day follow up, and close ties with local pediatric specialists
Requirements
Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
Valid license (or eligibility) to practice as a NP/PA in the state of Virginia
Valid DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
Interest or experience in pediatrics
Previous experience in emergency or urgent care is a plus, but not required
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant program
- Licenses: Valid license (or eligibility) to practice as a NP/PA in the state of Virginia, Valid DEA License (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Certifications: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)
- Experience: Interest or experience in pediatrics, Previous experience in emergency or urgent care is a plus, but not required

Benefits
Base pay starts at $40/hour and increases up to $60/hour based on relevant experience
Productivity-based bonus program that begins at 2.8 patients per hour, with additional earnings for exceeding this threshold
This per-shift incentive bonus program gives you the opportunity to increase your pay every time you clock in
Earn $5 shift differential for working weekends

Pay
Base pay starts at $40/hour and increases up to $60/hour based on relevant experience
