About the role

A BC Pediatric Neurologist is sought to join an academic team in a multidisciplinary children's hospital setting, with opportunities for teaching and research across subspecialties such as epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders. The role is based in Charleston, SC, a vibrant coastal city known for its rich history, cultural scene, beaches, and high quality of life, offering outdoor activities and excellent amenities.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric neurology care, seeing approximately 12 patients daily within an 8 am to 5 pm schedule, four days per week.
• Participate in inpatient neurology services every 5 to 6 weeks, collaborating with a team supported by nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
• Engage in teaching activities within a 5-year ACGME-accredited Child Neurology Residency Program.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts, including neurosurgery, therapy, psychology, and nursing.
• Work at a state-of-the-art children's hospital with 24/7 video EEG monitoring.

Qualifications

• Board certification in pediatric neurology, with openness to subspecialty expertise.
