About the role

The Division of Pediatric Neurology at MUSC - The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a BC Pediatric Neurologist to join its team, open to all subspecialties including epilepsy and neuromuscular, with opportunities for teaching and research in a multidisciplinary children's hospital setting and an excellent academic compensation plan.

Responsibilities

  • Practice pediatric neurology, open to subspecialties with opportunities to teach and pursue research
  • Work 4 days per week in an outpatient clinic, typically 8 am to 5 pm
  • See approximately 12 pediatric neurology patients per day with defined visit times
  • Share inpatient pediatric neurology service weeks every 5 to 6 weeks
  • Practice at the new Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital with 24/7 video EEG monitoring
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, including neurosurgeons, therapists, psychologists, and nursing staff
  • Teach in a 5-year ACGME-accredited Child Neurology Residency Program

  • Join a pediatric neurology faculty supported by 4 nurse practitioners and physician assistants

Pay

$240,000.00 – $270,000.00

Schedule

  • 4 days per week in outpatient clinic
  • Inpatient service weeks every 5 to 6 weeks
