Pediatric Mental Health Social Worker
About the role
Provide behavioral health counseling services, delivering individual, group, and family therapy to support improved mental health outcomes.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish measurable therapy treatment goals aligned with evidence-based behavioral health practices.
Evaluate therapy progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure effective interventions and sustained patient improvement.
Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and community providers to coordinate care from treatment initiation through discharge planning.
Serve as a clinical resource for trauma and personality disorders, providing consultation, staff education, and community outreach on mental health services.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: One or more of the following required:
- Counselor credentialed from the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Social Worker credentialed from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Clinical Counselor preferred.
- Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Preferences
- Crisis Counseling preferred.
- Group Therapy Experience preferred.
