About the Role
The Radiology/IR Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures, including interventional radiology, on adult and pediatric patients to support diagnosis and treatment. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, executing studies independently, and handling portable exams and on-call situations.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures across multiple modalities such as CT, MRI, interventional, and others.
- Cross-train in interventional radiology if registered.
- Ensure patient safety and quality control during procedures.
Requirements
- Associate or trade school education.
- Current licensure as RT (R) and relevant certifications (e.g., RTR, CT, MRI, CI, RCIS, RCES).
- Preferred: less than 2 years of experience, CPR, and IV therapy skills.
- Ability to work independently, prepare patients, and handle rotating call duties.
