Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced board-certified Pediatric Intensivist to join our pediatric inpatient and critical care team at Summerville Medical Center (SMC), just 30 minutes from Charleston, South Carolina.

About the Role

  • 6-bed PICU
  • Level III NICU support
  • Telephone consult available with quaternary care center 45 minutes away
  • Inpatient pediatric floor + ER consults
  • In-house days, home call at night
  • Teaching opportunities: a family medicine residency program is now in its third year with residents participating about half of the year, 4.5 days per week
  • Procedures include: intubations, LPs, line/chest tube placement, CPR
  • 2024 Census: 373 pediatric admits, 85 PICU admits, ADC: 4.1

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Board-eligible or board-certified in Pediatric Critical Care
  • At least 1-2 years of post-graduate experience
