Pediatric Intensive Care RN

About the role

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) works in collaboration with other members of the health care team to protect, promote and optimize health and ability, prevent illness and injury, alleviate suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocate in the care of individuals and families. The RN incorporates creative factors from Watson’s theory into practice and adheres to hospital policies and procedures, the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, Professional Standards, Code of Ethics for Nursing, and the institution’s nursing philosophy and Professional Practice Model.

Complies with the Memorial Health Compliance Program, related policies and procedures, and the Code of Business Practices; reports instances of perceived and actual non-compliance to Team Leader or through other reporting mechanisms.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date)
• Pedi Care After Resuscitation (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)

No prior experience required.
