About the role
This position is for a pediatric hospitalist providing 24-hour off-site call coverage at a facility near Eugene, Oregon. The clinician will perform morning rounds across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings, respond to pediatric emergencies, conduct neonatal resuscitation, and attend births as needed.
The role involves handling variable patient loads and collaborating with support staff, including OBGYN. It demands a dedicated, qualified professional committed to delivering continuous pediatric care in a structured call-based hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform morning rounds in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
- Respond to pediatric emergencies
- Conduct neonatal resuscitation
- Attend births as needed
- Manage pediatric cases in a call-based environment
- Ensure high-quality patient care
- Respond promptly to emergency consults
Requirements
- Board certification in pediatrics
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
