Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist

About the role

This position is for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physician specializing in inpatient care during weekend night shifts at a large academic medical center with advanced technology and comprehensive pediatric services.

Responsibilities

• Manage 16-17 pediatric patients per shift
• Conduct rounds and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and nurses
• Focus on inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology care
• Documentation using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board certification in pediatric hematology/oncology
• Prescriptive authority
• Experience with general pediatric hematology and oncology treatments

Skills

• Expertise in inpatient pediatric hematology/oncology
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Proficiency in Epic EMR

Work Environment

• On-site at a large academic medical center
• Supporting staff includes other physicians, APPs, and nurses
• No call required
