Pediatric Geneticist

Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago are seeking a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor for the Edwards Family Division of Genetics and Rare Diseases.

About the Role

Current clinical practice programs include general genetics/dysmorphology, inborn errors of metabolism, neurofibromatosis, skeletal dysplasia, connective tissue disorders, and lysosomal storage disorders. The applicant will contribute to the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical participation occurs at the main hospital and/or outreach sites. Opportunities exist for involvement in clinical research trials and the development of new clinical and training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in genetics and rare diseases, including general genetics/dysmorphology, inborn errors of metabolism, neurofibromatosis, skeletal dysplasia, connective tissue disorders, and lysosomal storage disorders.
• Educate and train medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in clinical research trials and develop new clinical and training programs.

Requirements

• Hold an M.D. or D.O.
• Board certified or board eligible in Clinical Genetics.
• Eligible for licensure in Illinois.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $220,000 - $233,560. The pay offered will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, training, internal comparators, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
