Essential Responsibilities
- Assists Providers in performing image-guided procedures using fluoroscopic methods following standardized protocols.
- Administers contrast safely as needed while following standardized protocols.
- Utilizes a variety of highly specialized radiologic and/or fluoroscopic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional and/or invasive procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
- Maintains a strict sterile field adhering to safety protocols.
- Responds to inquiries from patients and family members, provides clear information regarding diagnostic testing and expected result timelines.
- Collaborates with team members across OU Health including Providers to provide exceptional patient care.
- Conducts post-testing quality reviews to confirm that all required elements are completed, documented and align with departmental and accreditation standards.
- Transfers images and data to the appropriate electronic health system, enters technical data/findings and prepares study for reporting by physician.
- Performs quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting and other equipment maintenance tasks per manufacturer instructions for use and other regulatory guidelines.
- Assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as requested.
- May provide on-call clinical coverage outside regularly scheduled duty hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned.
- May support OU Health's academic partnerships by actively engaging in teaching of students in the radiologic program.
- May serve as a departmental preceptor to provide instruction and mentorship to new or less experienced team members.
- Affords assistance with onboarding of new team members.
General Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications (Level 1)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging/radiology program as defined by ARRT or Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
- Experience: 0-3 years experience.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire. ARRT(RT) Certification required within 12 months of hire.
Minimum Qualifications (Level 2)
- Education: Associate's Degree required.
- Experience: 3-5 years experience as a Fluoroscopy Tech required.
- Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) and ARRT(RT) Certification required at hire.
