About the Role

Join our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 6 APPs at Dwayne and Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital. Work alongside a fantastic team of emergency and hospital medicine colleagues, providing an excellent variety of pathology. Accountable, on-site leadership includes a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools. Enjoy stable, well-staffed teams aligned on a patient-first culture of excellence, full subspecialty support, and in-house 24/7 PICU coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide top-quality patient care in a freestanding children’s hospital setting with an 18-bed ED and 14-bed pediatric ICU, seeing 45,000 patients annually.
  • Foster collaboration and support among team members.
  • Emphasize proper, careful, and safe patient treatment as a core focus.
  • Use EPIC as the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified/eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
  • Active medical license or eligible to become licensed in Georgia.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Full-time or part-time nocturnist position. The emergency department provides 38 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
