About the role
FronteraCare delivers life-changing autism services to children and families across New Mexico and Colorado. We provide high quality diagnostic evaluations and ABA therapy, partnering closely with parents, grandparents, foster parents, and other caregivers to create individualized care plans rooted in each child's unique strengths, needs, and family context.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to comprehensive diagnostic assessments.
- Administer standardized clinical assessments via telehealth.
- Use Frontera’s report-writing technology.
- Draft and refine clear, concise, and defensible psychological reports that outline diagnoses, recommendations for treatment, and potential eligibility for services.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Stay current on best practices in diagnostic assessment and evidence-based intervention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Potentially participate in outreach and educational activities related to pediatric behavioral health.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an APA accredited program in Clinical Psychology.
- Licensed psychologist in good standing in at least one of the states we operate in (New Mexico and/or Colorado), or willing to obtain licensure.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience conducting comprehensive child evaluations.
- Strong foundation in evidence-based assessment practices for ASD and related conditions, including ADOS framework.
- Experience and comfort with telehealth assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex diagnostic findings to families and professionals.
- Proficiency in electronic recordkeeping systems (e.g., EHR) is a plus.
- Commitment to cultural competency and providing services in a family-centered, collaborative manner.
- Preferred: Active member of PSYPACT (Psychologists Interjurisdictional Compact) allowing for telehealth evaluations across state lines.
- Fluent and able to complete assessments in both Spanish and English.
