About the role

The Pediatric CT Technologist PRN independently performs routine and complex CT exams in a pediatric radiology setting, applying established protocols while exercising sound clinical judgment to adapt techniques based on patient condition and diagnostic needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of CT exams, adjusting protocols for patient safety and image quality.
  • Prepare patients, correlate clinical history, and administer contrast safely.
  • Recognize imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
  • Transfer images, complete documentation, and prepare studies for physician review.
  • Conduct quality control, equipment maintenance, and inventory tasks.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development.
  • Additional duties as assigned, focusing on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in pediatric radiology.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology or nuclear medicine program, or equivalent military education.
  • At least 1 year of CT experience.
  • Current ARRT(RT)(CT) certification and BLS certification.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, CT principles, and radiologic terminology.
  • Effective communication, multitasking, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team, maintain accurate records, and demonstrate dependability.
