About the role

The Pediatric Intensivist will provide consultative and direct care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric ICU at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative and direct care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric ICU
• Collaborate with the Pediatric Hospitalist service for inpatient care
• Perform pediatric sedations and anesthesia services
• Contribute to the academic and research activities at Carle Illinois College of Medicine

Requirements

• Board Certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
• Current Illinois Medical License
• Experience in pediatric critical care and sedation/anesthesia

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Skills

• Skilled in pediatric critical care management
• Proficient in pediatric sedation and anesthesia techniques
• Effective in teaching and mentoring
