About the role
Innovative Hematology, Inc. (IHI) offers comprehensive services and holistic care for patients with bleeding, clotting, and other hematologic disorders, along with their families.
Responsibilities
- Patient check-in duties, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, allergy updates, and assessment/reason for visit
- Follows the plan of care for surgery patients
- Draws laboratory studies as ordered
- Meds and vaccines administration
- Peripheral IV insertion and management of IV therapy according to established protocols
- Affords infusions, including factor and other IV medications in accordance with individualized patient care plans
- Accesses implanted ports for blood draws, medication administration, and infusions
- Coordinates and works directly with triage nursing to ensure comprehensive continuity of patient care
Requirements
- Valid RN license in the state of Indiana
- Valid Indiana Driver's license and automobile insurance
Qualifications
All IHI employees are expected to enable multi-factor authentication via their personal smart phone/smart device in order to access IHI systems as a requirement of the role.
