About the role
Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide inpatient care in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit (PIMCU).
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical care to infants, children, and adolescents with acute or chronic conditions requiring support outside of the ICU.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians to assess patients, obtain histories, perform physical exams, and diagnose health concerns.
- Participate in medical rounds, present cases, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Engage in quality improvement and research initiatives.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
- Minimum of 2+ years inpatient pediatric experience, preferably with higher acuity patients.
- One+ year Pediatric NP or PA experience preferred; recent pediatric inpatient RN experience may be considered for new graduates.
- Current Massachusetts NP (Pediatric or FNP with pediatric experience) or PA license.
- BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred.
