Pediatric Behavioral Health RN/LPN

About the role

Provide 1:1 nursing care for a 13‑year‑old pediatric client with Autism and seizure needs in Newark, NJ. This includes behavioral support, seizure management, medication administration, and compassionate hands‑on care in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to ensure client safety, comfort, and daily needs.
• Provide behavioral support and implement strategies for children with Autism.
• Monitor and manage seizure activity, administer rescue medications as needed.
• Administer routine and PRN medications accurately.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate observations to the clinical team.
• Collaborate with family and interdisciplinary team to support the client’s plan of care.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey RN or LPN license.
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience working with children with Autism or behavioral needs strongly preferred.
• Experience with seizure management and medication administration.
• Current BLS certification.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Physical examination completed within the past 12 months.
• PPD or QuantiFERON test completed within the past 12 months, or chest X‑ray within the past 5 years.
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved exemption.

Pay

Registered Nurse (RN): $45/hour
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $40/hour

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday
• Shifts: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM and 10:30 PM – 8:00 AM
• Evening and overnight opportunities available
