Pediatric Audiologist

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, professional audiologist to join 4 pediatric otolaryngologists and audiologists in Orlando, FL. Join a dynamic team providing the highest quality age-appropriate care for patients newborn to 18 years of age, with occasional adult patients within the scope of practice and established audiology standards and functioning effectively as a member of the rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Provides diagnostic assessments, including behavioral audiometry, visual reinforcement audiometry, conditioned play audiometry, standard audiometry and central auditory processing testing as assigned.
• Counsels parent(s) regarding hearing loss, communication options, and financial resources.
• Completes documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Provides supervision to audiology interns as assigned.
• Includes family/caregiver in patient care and provides effective education appropriate for learning needs of patient and family.
• Knowledge of pediatric theory and practice
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective communication of information
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment
• Travel to other Children 's Ear Nose Throat and Allergy locations based on patient census, program development, and/or contract obligation with physician practices

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Audiology and/or Doctorate of Audiology required.
• Those candidates already in possession of a Florida audiology license will be given preference.

Qualifications

• Entry level candidates are welcome to apply with experience in pediatrics.
