About the role
A half-time Hawaiian Studies and Graphic Design teacher for grades K - 6.
Responsibilities
- Teach Hawaiian Studies and Graphic Design to students in grades K - 6.
- Incorporate cultural relevance and contemporary design principles into lesson plans.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.
- Enrolled in a Teacher's Education Program to meet Hawaii licensing requirements within 3 years of employment.
Qualifications
- Commitment to teaching and learning in a culturally diverse environment.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into the curriculum.
- Experience with graphic design software preferred.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
