PD Registered Nurse (RN), Outpatient Cancer Services - Office Practice

Job Overview

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for their Outpatient Cancer Services- Office Practice at the Outpatient Cancer Services CINJ at Morris Cancer Center on the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

• BSN
• At least 2-3 years of Oncology RN experience required
• Preferred: At least 2-3 years of outpatient or hospital experience preferred
• OCN required or obtained within 1 year of hire

Scheduling Requirements

Day Shift, 10 Hour Shifts per week
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 6PM
Per Diem

Essential Functions

• Provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards
• Awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics
• Safety in practice and evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors
• Knowledge of the patient population served
• Supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers
• Consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement
• Individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of the provision of care and individualizes the plan of care to address a specific patient’s needs
