PD PMO Manager - New Ventures
About the role
MiniMed is seeking a PD Program Manager for its New Ventures group. This role involves leading New Venture programs to develop new diabetes systems, products, and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead New Product Introduction and Sustaining programs from conception through commercialization
- Develop and execute comprehensive program plans including scope, risks, work product, resources, interdependencies, and schedule
- Engage senior leadership and own program performance
- Generate and coach a high-performing team with clear communication to leadership, extended team members, and enabling functions
- Manage program budget and schedule, and resolve conflicts
- Communicate with leadership and team members, including risk and escalation management
- Influence positive change and provide regular updates to executive management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience in program management
- Experience in medical device domain, particularly in Class III Implantable medical devices and external devices communicating with them
- Strong program management skills and experience with MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO, Outlook, SharePoint, Jira, OneNote, and other collaboration tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to make timely decisions under risk and uncertainty
Qualifications
- Program management experience in the medical device domain
- Experience managing Contract Development/Manufacturing organizations
- Strong influence and collaboration skills in a matrix environment
- Business acumen and results-oriented mindset
Skills
- Program management certifications, such as PMP
- Knowledge of Program Phase-In and Phase-Out Planning
- Leadership and team-building skills
- Ability to think strategically and act from a “best for the business” perspective
