Ocean Heart and Vascular is seeking a qualified Per Diem Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Barnegat, NJ.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• PET Experience a Plus
• Two years hospital experience as a staff technologist
• Certifications and Licenses Required: Current NJ State license, ARRT, and/or BLS certification

Essential Functions

• Performs all hot lab related functions, calibrating dose calibrator and performing QC procedures
• Identifies patients IP and OP per hospital SOP before starting any procedure
• Explains procedure to patient clearly including wait times and performs procedure ensuring maximum comfort
• Obtains best possible images by using prescribed technical parameters and techniques
• Affirms that all tests are performed properly and test results are valid and accurate prior to releasing the patient
• Assists nuclear physician with special imaging procedures
• Maintains department in a neat and clean condition
• Accepts special assignments from supervisor and completes them on time
• Offers assistance to physicians, patients, families, visitors, and co-workers
• Responds to instruction from peers or superiors to complete department tasks
• Performs other departmental duties as prescribed by supervisory personnel
• Works overtime when needed
• Assists in the performance of non-technical tasks within the department
• Performs other duties as needed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59.50 per hour. An additional $12,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants.
